Caring:
- You can sit, walk and stand
on it, even if your customer wipes his feet
on it in the back of your car, just hose it
down. It will come up like new.
- You
can put it up in the rain, hail or sunshine. Since it is held on electro
statically, water is no problem, just be sure
that you rub the glass first so that an electrostatic
charge is built up before applying the sign,
then using a roller or squeegee remove any
water from under the sign. This way it will
stay on through all the wind and rain that
comes.
- The material is made to our
specifications to provide maximum protection
against the UV environment and give the best
possible
electrostatic adhesion to glass. We use a particularly
thick material so that it can be handled with
ease and the sign can be removed and reused
as often as needed without leaving any residue.
- It is possible that the sign
may fall off, that's because either the glass
or the back of the sign is dusty and needs
a wash off. The sign is electrostatic and will
pick up dust especially if you put the static
side on the bonnet of the car or drop it on
the ground. A slightly damp chamois will fix
this.
- The best inks available are
used to print these signs but you
will need to take care to stack them so that
the ink
surfaces
do not face each other, always stack with the
printed side up. You will be
supplied with a rack for stacking the banners
on it if you wish,
this rack
will hold about 250 banners and enables you
to transfer the banners from one side to the
other until the particular banner you need
is found.
Fixing:
- Window must be clean and dust
free
- Rub the glass with a slightly
damp chamois or cloth
- Select the required banner
making sure that the back side is dust free.
If it is a new banner then remove it from the
card.
- Place the banner on the glass
area and roll or squeegee the air bubbles out.
- Avoid excessive stretching
of the banner
Some Don’ts:
- Do not fold banner ink to
ink. Even though the ink is dry the ink surfaces
may weld together and destroy the sign
- Although this banner will
adhere to auto paint we recommend that you
do not do it as some of the auto paints contain
emulsifiers that can migrate into the PVC and
it may discolor the paint. We take no responsibility
for such use.
- It is best not to get the
card wet on any new banner, the cast surface
may stick to the banner and it will be difficult
to get off.
